We can use this ESF 2008 Blog for the preparation of our workshops.
The unionnetwork Blog can be used to set up a network for exchanging experiences and start new union campaigns and projects.

Tools for better Networking

Für uns sind es hier die ersten Schritte in einem Blog. Wir versuchen diesen Blog stetig zu verbessern und arbeiten auch noch an Design. Um unsere Netzwerkarbeit zu verbessern empfehlen wir euch weitere Tools, die auf anderen Websites sind, zu nutzen. Mitunter ist bei den Tools eine Anmeldung, und vorige Registrierung notwendig, Wir werden versuchen ein Beispiel und eine Erklärung des Tools in diesem Blog mitzuliefern. Falls du noch weitere nutzliche Networking Tools kennst – bitte einfach im Blog eine Nachricht (Kommentar) hinterlassen.

Doodle
Ein praktisches und ziemlich einfaches Tool um Termie abzustimmen (oder um andere Abstimmungen zu treffen z.B ein Feedback). Es muss nur eine Person eine Termin (Wahl) Umfrage auf www.doodle.ch erstellen – der link zur Umfrage kann dann hier in unserem ESF Blog geschrieben werden. Ihr könnt den link natürlich auch per Email an die Teilnehmendenkreis verschicken. So könnten zum Beispiel die einzelnen Workshop Gruppen ein Termin vereinbaren ohne ein Email Ping Pong auszulösen.

These are our first steps in a blog. We will try to improve this blog and are still working on the design. For a better networking we recommend you other networking tools on other sites. These tools might demand a log In and before that a registration. We will try to show you an illustration and explanation of the tool in this blog. If you know other useful networking tools – please post a comment them in this blog.

Doodle:
This is a great tool to arrange a meeting request (or for others requests for example a feedback). Only one persons has to set up the meeting request on www.doodle.ch the link to the request can be posted on this ESF 2008 blog or you send the link with an email to the group of participants. So each workshop group could arrange there meetings without starting an email ping pong.

The explanation is written in german on the doodle website, but it is easy to set up a request

- Start www.doodle.ch

- click on „Umfrage erstellen“

- enter the titel/ question of yor request

- you can describe your request in the big description field „Beschreibung“

- you have to enter a name (use your firstname or a nickname)

- you dont have to enter your email address (I advise to enter your email, you will get an email with the „request link“ and an „admin link“ to change or delete the request) – click „Fertigstellen“

- Fill out the „Option“ fields with different dates or answersyou want to request – click „Fertigstellen“

Hello world!

Nach diversen Versuche uns (als europaweite Gewerkschaftsjugend) ein Forum einzurichten, habe ich mich entschieden diese Blog zu öffnen.

Ich glaube die web tools die wir hier nutzen können, werden uns helfen unsere Workshops zu planen und zu dokumentieren. Voraussetzung dafür ist allerdings eine regelmäßige Beteiligung aller Personen.

All attemps to set up a forum for us (as a european union youth group) were to no avail, so I decided to open this blog.

I think the web tools we can use here will help us to plan and to document our workshop. This requires a regular attendance of all persons.
